Heading up onto a mountain, wearing shorts and carrying your bike, listening to the crunch under foot of the recent snow fall, and not knowing if you’ll make it over the top for that awe inspiring view and breath taking descent, seems a little bit like madness to some. To us though, taking half a day off work and suffering the hour and a half ride / hike a bike up was certainly a risk worth taking, especially today. The snow was crusty enough to make it fun, but not so crusty as to drag you down. Let go of the brakes and unleash the beast, that descent was our reward for that hard climb up. One climb, one descent, 4 big smiles, job done.
