JR Social Paddleboard

We’re heading to Calfclose bay again this month, but this time…we’re making a splash on the paddleboards! (Weather-permitting)
The car park will potentially get busy as it’s a Saturday in June, so we’ll head down there for around 9am and you can make as much of a day of it as you like!
We’ll set up base on the shore in the bay, but there will be opportunity for an expedition across to the island for those who fancy it. We will bring the JR Mega paddleboard (8 person fun and chaos combined!) but if you have paddleboards or kayaks etc, bring them along too. Don’t forget your buoyancy aids too!
Calfclose bay has plenty of space and is reasonably sheltered, so anyone who is fairly new to paddleboarding, or wanting to try it for the first time, this is a great opportunity and also a chance to meet lots of other people who love it too!
What you need to bring:
Buoyancy aid, if you have one (we have a couple spare), swimwear, wetsuit (if you get cold easily), wet-shoes (or at least shoes you don’t mind getting wet), towel, change of clothes, camping chair/blanket and some picnic food.
Please note: This isn’t a paid or guided session, anyone coming on to the lake must be fully responsible for themselves and accept the risks or being on/in the water.
